Itinerary in the great scenery of the Crete Senesi. There is no difficulty in following the track, but a magical moment is the strech throuhg the biancane of the Nature Reserve Lucciola Bella. A visit to Villa La Foce, one of the finest gardens in Tuscany, is a must. The garden was designed by Iris Orogo and Cecil Pinsent. The cypress lane towards Podere Lucciolabella (the first part of this itinerary) was also designed by Cecil Pinsent.

This itinerary starts and ends at the gate of Villa La Foce, in Chianciano Terme in the Val d'Orcia. Points of interest are Villa La Foce, with it's marvellous garden, the Nature Reserve of Lucciola Bella, and Castellucio. A little off track you also find the well preserved mediaval borgo Monticchiello and the centuries old oak on the road to Pienza, the Quercione delle Checche.
Start
This itinerary starts from the gate of La Foce di Chianciano (551 masl) where it is possible to leave the vehicles at the Villa parking. Go about a kilometer and a half downhill on the provincial road to reach, on the right, at the foot of the ascent which, in a rapid sequence of hairpin bends, leads to the Podere Lucciola Bella.
