The Castle of Spedaletto, Val d'Orcia

The Castle of Spedaletto, built along the Via Francigena, was built by the priest Ugolino da Rocchione in the 12th century as a fortified farm and as a place to guest the pilgrims. It was part of the Spedale di Santa Maria della Scala in Siena.
