La Porta Cerbara (Cervara).

Porta Cerbara (also known as Porta Cerbaia or Cervara) is one of the six remaining medieval city gates in the walls of Montalcino. This gate is located on the south side of the historic center and forms an important access route for those coming from the direction of Buonconvento or San Quirico d'Orcia.
Just outside the gate lies Parcheggio Porta Cerbaia. This is a good alternative if the parking lots at the fort (Piazzale Fortezza) are full.

Porta Cerbara (nota anche come Porta Cerbaia o Cervara) è una delle sei porte medievali ancora esistenti all'interno delle mura di Montalcino. Questa porta si trova sul lato sud del centro storico e costituisce un'importante via d'accesso per chi proviene da Buonconvento o San Quirico d'Orcia.
Appena fuori dalla porta si trova il Parcheggio Porta Cerbaia. Questa è una valida alternativa se i parcheggi della fortezza (Piazzale Fortezza) sono pieni.

The Gates of Montalcino
Within the old walls of Montalcino, there are still six gates visible: Porta Cerbara (Cervara), Porta al Cassero, Porta al Cornio, embedded in the Church of the Madonna del Soccorso, Porta Burelli o Murelli, Porta Castellana and Porta Gattoli.
