Early May, the first intensive rain arrived in Tuscany, draping the landscape in a shimmering veil of silver. The scent of petrichor, that divine perfume of rain meeting earth, enveloped me, infusing the air with a fragrance that spoke of life's infinite possibilities.
I gazed out at the landscape, blurred and transformed by the falling rain. The rolling hills, cloaked in mist, took on an otherworldly allure. The olive groves and vineyards, their emerald hues deepened, seemed to sigh in gratitude for the life-giving elixir that embraced their roots. The vibrant flowers, their colors muted yet no less radiant, whispered secrets of resilience and rebirth. And so, amidst the downpour, I found solace.
But the work in the swimming pool that continued well initially, proceeded with considerable difficulties.

It continued raining for weeks in May, and work continued not with ease, but eventually everything was ready for a final layer of concrete.[2]

And so, amidst the downpour, I found solace. The rain washed away the dust of routine and monotony. It invited reflection, an introspective dance with the self. In that moment, as raindrops merged with the shimmering surface of the earth, I understood the interconnectedness of all things. I embraced the transient beauty of the present, knowing that just as the rain would cease, so too would this fleeting moment.
And that work on the pool was not the only thing that mattered and could perhaps wait for a while.
